A chunk of my hair fell out right before I got married, and I had to get cortisone shots in my head to get it to grow back.
Why share such a fun story, you ask? Because I’m in the middle of moving and I feel my stress levels approaching bald spot territory. As they rise, I can’t help but wonder if thinking about my hair falling out will actually make my hair fall out, or if thinking about my hair falling out will stop it from falling out because I’m onto its rotten schemes now. Is it helpful to use reverse psychology on hair? Can hair hear? And lastly, should I preemptively shave my head into the Pink haircut I’ve always dreamed of? Reply A for yes or B for definitely.
Look, moving is stressful but I know there is so much more to be stressed about in these current times. Which is why I know for sure that my hair is going to fall out. (True story, when I got the cortisone shots in my head they were given to me by a doctor with alopecia.)
Anyway if you, like me, are feeling lots of feelings this week you should check out Wooby & Fotty’s newest song, The Feelings Song. It’s about how it’s ok to feel lots of feelings no matter what your feelings are. And that makes me feel… a little nauseous.
Good luck to me!
Love,
Lauren
One of the best!!! Loved it.
Hilarious as always! Good luck with your move and I hope you keep your beautiful hair! Personally, my stress reaction is to pull out my hair. When I was young I actually made a bald spot. I’ve gotten better! Xo, Shelley
